Quiet, we are speaking was created where a huge, old invasive lilac bush grew that sent up shoots all around itself as if set on claiming the Earth, or at least the surrounding gardens. We dug up the old lilac bush and moved it to create this lovely environmental sculpture garden. The pair of stones looks as if they are talking together, therefore the name. The micaceous field of siltstone has beautiful, varied colors and patterns. It was gathered from surrounding mountains, as was much of the stone in Riverbend Sculpture Gardens.
