Autumn in Riverbend Sculpture Gardens

Autumn is a beautiful time of year in northern New Mexico. Foliage changes from shades of green to yellows, oranges and reds before leaves begin falling and spiraling to earth in gusts of wind. Winter whispers as nights and mornings grow colder. Autumn speaks of time passing and the impermanence of all that exists. It is a time of change expressed in a flurry of color and beauty before the transformative sleep of winter. The appearance of each environmental landscape sculpture is affected by the shifting seasons and weather. Through the passage of time, all the environmental landscape sculptures at Riverbend Sculpture Gardens change visually because the natural settings where they were created, which are integral aspects of their presence, are transfigured by each passing season.
