Meditation (22'x22'x4'6")

Meditation sits beneath an apple tree I planted years ago. The circular spiral of siltstone with the riverstone entrance is shaped like a serpent and echoes the story of the garden of Eden where humans gained the "knowledge of good and evil." The meditation bench invites one to sit in quiet contemplation. While the scene has some hidden biblical symbols, the atmosphere whispers more of a Celtic origin where animism and pantheism were believed and honored which  created a sacred relationship to the Earth and nature.
